PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To treat detected information according to the state of a failure which has occurred. SOLUTION: The information processing system 1 includes a detection object 2 attached to a measuring object, an imaging device 4 successively imaging the detection object 2, and an information processing apparatus 10. The information processing apparatus 10 successively detects position information on the detection object 2 based on images successively captured by the imaging device 4, extracts position information showing a failure from the successively detected position information, discriminates a class of the failure shown by the extracted position information according a condition satisfied by the extracted position information among conditions determined for each of one or more failure classes, and processes the extracted position information according to a processing content determined in the discriminated class.
