PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the switching gate of a pinch roll, in which a gate and a sheet passing apron are operated with one system cylinder. SOLUTION: There is provided the switching gate 1 which is installed on the outlet side of the pinch roll corresponding to a front down coiler which is installed in the front of the rearmost down coiler and with which a strip 10 is distributed to the side of the front down coiler 11 and the side of a rear down coiler 12, in a rolling line. The switching gate 1 includes: a gate 2 which is lifted when guiding the strip 10 to the front down coiler 11 and is lowered when guiding the strip 10 to the rear down coiler 12; the strip passing apron 3 with which the strip 10 is stably passed when guiding the strip 10 to the rear down coiler 12; and the one system cylinder 6 with which the gate 2 and the strip passing apron 3 are lifted and lowered.
