PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for improving the utility of a three-dimensional luminescent transition metal complex. SOLUTION: This luminescent transition metal complex includes at least one organic ligand having a backbone structure containing a luminescent group and at least one zinc ion capable of coordination bonding with the coordination bond-forming group, arranged between a plurality of coordination bond-forming groups having an electron-donating functional group and at least two coordination bond-forming groups. The luminescent transition metal complex has an inner space surrounded by the organic ligand, and in the organic ligand, at least one coordination bond-forming group forms a coordination bond with the zinc ion.
