PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing system enabling a desired printed sheet to be easily taken out even if the system has only one paper discharge tray, and also provide an image forming device. SOLUTION: This printing system includes a host device for performing various settings for printing and a printing device for printing according to the settings. The printing device includes a paper discharge tray having different discharge positions, a sheet storage having a plurality of set positions for sheets, a conveying mechanism configured so as to discharge sheets to a predetermined discharge position for each sheets set at each set position, and a discharge controller for discharging the sheets to the conveying mechanism after the sheets set at each set position is selected according to a designated discharge position are selected and the selected sheets are printed.
