PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drain valve device of a washing water tank, wherein a drain valve is made of a soft material, capable of surely stopping water without influencing sealing performance and washing performance, and to provide the drain valve of the drain valve device. SOLUTION: The drain valve device of the washing water tank storing washing water for washing a toilet bowl includes: a drain valve body which has a valve seat mounted to a drain port in the bottom of the washing tank, and a support shaft arranged horizontally in the washing tank; and the drain valve made of a soft material and swinging vertically around the support shaft to be separated/contacted from/with the valve seat, thereby discharging and stopping the water. The undersurface of the drain valve, which is located outer side of the outline of an upper edge part of the valve seat with the drain valve closing the valve seat, has a projection part projecting downward by a predetermined length.
