AFFINITY VARIABLE ANTIBODY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modified antibody having affinity to antigens variable by a mild condition change such as calcium concentration change. SOLUTION: There is provided a fused protein obtained by preparing a polynucleotide encoding a fused protein composed of an antibody VH region-calmodulin-M13 peptide-antibody VL region and transforming an E. coli with an expression plasmid containing the polynucleotide. The fused protein develops high affinity to an antigen in the absence of calcium, however, the affinity is remarkably lowered by addition of≥1μM of calcium ion. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
