PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a push-pull handle device which has a simple structure and which can be operated by a push-pull operation. SOLUTION: This push-pull handle device includes: a latch which is locked to a door frame in an attitude of protrusion from a door 1 and which releases a locked state along with a door opening operation; a lock lever which is urged to a locking position side, so as to be freely movable between locking and unlocking positions, and which regulates the movement of the latch to a receding position side in the locking position; and swing-operable indoor and outdoor handles 5 and 6 which are disposed on the indoor exterior wall surface of the door 1. The lock lever is provided with an operating portion 7 which is disposed in the plate-thickness-direction central portion of the door 1 and which moves in a direction of a cross line between swing surfaces of the handles 5 and 6 and the surface of the door 1 along with the motion of the lock lever; a cam portion 9 with a cam surface 8, on which cross-line-direction displacements associated with operations of the indoor and outdoor handles 5 and 6 are almost identical with each other in the same direction, is formed on the indoor and outdoor handles 5 and 6; and the cam surface 8 is brought into sliding contact with the operating portion 7 so as to make the lock lever operate.
