Provided is a machine tool that, for workpieces that are held by either a front main shaft or a rear main shaft, is capable of machining the free end thereof which has been guided by a single guide bush, and minimizes increases in the number of control shafts with a simple and compact structure. A guide bush (160) having the same axis line as a front main shaft (112) and a rear main shaft (122) positioned facing one another, is positioned between the front main shaft (112) and the rear main shaft (122), can guide both sides of a workpiece (W), can have workpieces held by either the front main shaft (112) or the rear main shaft (122) inserted thereinto, and can move in the axial direction. |
