摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance working efficiency while lowering peaks of combustion temperature and pressure of a pulse detonation engine. SOLUTION: An engine contains at least one pulse detonation combustor 103 provided with a combustion chamber 106 and an outlet nozzle 107 coupled to the combustion chamber 106. During operation of at least one pulse detonation combustor 103, detonation occurs in the combustion chamber 106. At least one of a fuel filling fraction and purge fraction of at least one pulse detonation combustor 103 is employed so as to offset a temperature peak of the detonation from a pressure peak thereof. The fuel filling fraction is defined as one purge fraction. The purge fraction is a ratio of purge time of at least one pulse detonation combustor 103 with respect to the sum of purge time of at least one pulse detonation combustor 103 and fuel filling time of at least one pulse detonation combustor 103.
