PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive joint member for a roof panel and a roof panel construction method using the same, which exhibit excellent elasticity and waterproofness and allow easy construction. SOLUTION: The joint member 10 for a roof panel consists of: first joint pieces 11 and 12 formed by bending a band-shaped weather resistant sheet A in the short-side direction to into a V-shaped or U-shaped cross section and arranged along the side edge of the roof panel; second joint pieces 15 and 16 formed by bending a band-shaped weather resistant sheet B in the short-side direction into a V-shaped or U-shaped cross section and arranged along the upper or lower edge of the roof panel; and a connection piece 19 formed by folding a rectangular weather resistant sheet C twice in the long-side direction into a three-layer form and further folding it in the short-side direction of the weather resistant sheet C. In the connection piece 19, the longitudinal direction ends of the first joint pieces 11 and 12 are connected to the short sides 19a and 19b of the weather resistant sheet C while the longitudinal direction ends of the second joint pieces 15 and 16 are connected to the long sides 19c and 19d of the weather resistant sheet C.
