Provided are a path selecting method, an information processing apparatus, a network system and a path selecting program whereby, when a control server is used to select passed-via nodes in a probabilistic manner so as to perform a path decision, the path decision can be quickly performed with no loops included in the decided path. A network, in which a plurality of paths exist from a transmission source to a destination, is controlled. Nodes, which form a path, are selected based on an inter-node transfer probability. If any one of the selected nodes is an already-passed-via node on the path, the transfer probability is reset such that the selection of that node is suppressed.
