PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To acquire a stabilized diversity effect by devising a phase rotation amount. SOLUTION: An OFDM communication apparatus having a transmission diversity function arranges a plurality of symbols which constitute Nd pieces of symbol sequences to a plurality of subcarriers to transmit the plurality of symbols using a plurality of OFDM symbols. In the OFDM communication apparatus, to each symbol of the Nd pieces of symbol sequences, a phase rotation amount different for every antenna and for every symbol is added, each symbol of the symbol sequences to which phase rotation has been applied is assigned to predetermined subcarriers of the number smaller than the Nd for every antenna, and OFDM transmission is carried out from a plurality of antennas.
