PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conveying device which decelerates sheet-like articles formed of paper or the like by a low-speed conveyor on the downstream side so that the sheet-like articles are not overlapped with each other and which prevents the front part of each of the sheet-like articles delivered from a high-speed conveyor on the upstream side to the low-speed conveyor from hitting the low-speed conveyor. SOLUTION: In this conveying device for conveying corrugated fiberboard folded boxes A as sheet-like articles formed of paper or the like, the coefficient of friction of the conveying surface of the lower belt 2a of a belt conveyor 2 as the low-speed conveyor on the downstream side is set lower than the coefficient of friction of the conveying surface of the upper and lower belts 1a, 1b of a belt conveyor 1 as the high-speed conveyor on the upstream side so that when the folded box A is delivered to the low-speed conveyor 2, the front part of the folded box A which is brought into contact with the conveying surface of the belt conveyor 2 is slid on the conveying surface at a high speed.
