Pharmaceutical preparation comprises 12-imidazolyl-1-dodecanol or its salt. An independent claim is also included for producing the pharmaceutical preparation comprising mixing the components. ACTIVITY : Antidote. MECHANISM OF ACTION : Cytochrome P450 2E1 enzyme inhibitor. The ability of 12-imidazolyl-1-dodecanol to inhibit cytochrome P450 2E1 enzyme was tested in microsome extracts from the rat liver using para-nitrophenol hydroxylation assay. The results showed that the imidazolyl-dodecanol in cyclodextrin exhibited IC 50value of 402.73 nM.
