<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus in which a toner cartridge is surely prevented from being accommodated inside an apparatus body while an opening portion of the toner cartridge is kept blocked by a shutter. <P>SOLUTION: The toner cartridge 21 includes a second shutter 41. The second shutter 41 is located so as to be openable/blockable at an open position where the shutter opens a communicating opening 42 on the cartridge side and at a block position where the shutter blocks the communicating opening 42 on the cartridge side. The second shutter 41 is connected with a first operation portion 51 and a second operation portion 52. When the second shutter 41 is located in the open position, the first operation portion 51 is located in a first position and the second operation portion 52 is located in a third position.
