PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a print switching device of a printing machine with a reversal mechanism, which can smoothly perform fixing and release fixing of both gears with small force and yet is of simple construction and has high durability. SOLUTION: A control section 50 controls a hydraulic source S to supply oil to a pipe 25b and elongates a stepped shaft 25a of a hydraulic cylinder 25. Then, a disk A17 moves in a direction away from a tapering 13 against the energizing force of a spring 15 and the pressurizing force which presses the tapering 13 in the direction to fit to a gear holder 9 is released. Next, the control section 50 controls the hydraulic source S to supply oil to the inner surface of the tapering 13 through pipes 31, 29 and a communication hole 9b.
