<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frequency counter for counting a frequency more accurately, and to provide a count method for the frequency counter. <P>SOLUTION: The frequency counter includes a count time measurement circuit 2 for measuring a fixed period from a basic clock, a code determination circuit 7 for determining whether a zero-cross pulse of an I signal is at positive or negative timing of a Q signal by inputting the zero cross pulse of the I signal, and the Q signal, a frequency count circuit 3 where the I signal and a result of a code determination circuit 7 are inputted and the number of zero-cross pulses with the Q signal at the positive or negative timing is counted, and a frequency operation circuit 4 for outputting a value counted by the frequency count circuit 3 within the fixed period measured by the count time measurement circuit 2 as an IF frequency measurement value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
