PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moving electrode type electrostatic dust collector having moving dust collecting electrode plates providing uniform scraping performance on both sides. SOLUTION: The moving electrode type electrostatic dust collector includes a casing for making a dust-containing gas flow, multiple discharge electrodes hung down in the casing, and scraping means each brushing the surfaces of a plurality of dust collecting electrode plates formed into a loop shape and revolved. In the moving electrode electrostatic dust collector, the scraping unit includes: a pair of elongated brushes extending in a width direction and making contact with both sides of the dust collecting electrode plates; a pair of brush-fixing shafts mounted with the elongated brushes, and turnably pivoted at the casing so that the elongated brushes are brought into contact with both sides of the dust collecting electrode plates; a pair of operation links fixed to the brush-fixing shafts, and turning together with the brush-fixing shafts; and an urging means mounted to the other ends of the operation links, and bringing the elongated brushes into contact with the dust collecting electrode plates in a manner to hold the electrode plates from both sides.
