PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger improved in brazing performance of a joining section, with respect to the heat exchanger in which a longitudinal end section of a side plate is joined to an outer wall surface of a core plate. SOLUTION: In this heat exchanger in which a side plate end section as the longitudinal end section of the side plate is brazed to an outer wall surface 114a of a longitudinal end section of the core plate 114, a through-hole 113e is formed on a region to be brazed to the outer wall surface 114a, of the side plate end section 113b.
