FIELD: transport. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises selecting truck tires with worn-out tread with no defects ruling out their further use. Then, undertread thickness is measured by instrument operating on principle of taking parameters of electric field at variation of distance between device and tire metal cord. Method comprises also using U-shape blade heated by passing electric current there through. Note here that in deepening treat grooves, rubber strip are cut by device comprising pulse transformer to depth of 2.5 mm with undertread thickness making 4 mm, to 3.5 mm depth at undertread thickness of 5 mm, to 4 mm depth at undertread thickness of 6 mm, to 3-3.5 mm and 3-4 mm at undertread thickness over 7 mm in first and second pass, respectively. ^ EFFECT: higher efficiency, power saving. ^ 2 tbl |
