The metal beam has a rectilinear part (16) and a curve part (18) extending appreciably transversely between end parts (12) of the beam. A convexity (22) of the curved part is turned toward the element. The metal beam extends appreciably transversely between the longerons. An independent claim is also included for a motor vehicle comprising two longerons.</p>
