<p>The device has an electronic unit i.e. capacitance meter (15), for exciting measurement electrodes (2) and for processing measurement signals from capacitive coupling of the electrodes with an object (11). The electronic unit is partially referenced to an electric potential of a guard (3) made of electrically conductive material. An LED is placed adjacent to active surfaces of the electrodes. Another electronic unit i.e. electronic control circuit (14), monitors the realization unit, and is partially referenced to the electric potential of the guard. The control equipment is presented in the form of a control panel. An independent claim is also included for a capacitive detection method for detecting a body or object in a detection space.</p> |
