The device has membrane filtering modules (14) connected by pipes to valves for controlling flow of liquid traveling toward the modules. A first block is formed by an assembly (14a) of the modules. Another block is formed by valves system (14b). A third block is formed of a group of intermediate pipes comprising an interface (14ca) between the valves system and the assembly of the modules. The interface is changed when changing a type of the modules, while the valves system and the assembly of the modules are unchanged, except when changing type of the modules. Lower collectors (CA1-CA4) are designed for forming support units of the filtering modules.
