PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material having a photocatalytic function, excellent in photocatalytic activities and excellent in durability as well. SOLUTION: A photocatalytic glass having photocatalytic activities includes 10-75%, by mol%, of at least one kind of component selected from the group of components consisting of TiO<SB>2</SB>, WO<SB>3</SB>, ZnO, Nb<SB>2</SB>O<SB>5</SB>and Ta<SB>2</SB>O<SB>5</SB>to the amount of the total material of oxide based components. The photocatalytic glass has transparency, is provided in the form of a fiber, a bead, a composite with a substrate, powder particles, a slurry or the like and can be suitably used for a window glass, a mirror and the like.
