PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately extract the spectral images of a specified wavelength or a specified wavelength band to be used in medical diagnosing and to improve the optionality of wavelength setting. SOLUTION: A color image obtained by a rigid scope 2 is image-formed on the incidence plane of a field lens 16; the color image of an image forming surface 14a is image-formed on a light shielding sheet 20 where a slit 20a is formed by a first lens 18; the slit 20a is moved by the transfer of the light shielding sheet 20, and the color image is decomposed into linear images. Image light from the respective linear images is made into parallel light by a second lens 25 and made incident on a movable mirror 26. The tilt angle of the movable mirror 26 is made to correspond to the position of the slit 20a and the light is made incident on a grism 27 from a fixed direction. The light emitted at an emission angle corresponding to a wavelength from the grism 27 is image-formed on an image sensor 30 by a third lens 28, and linear spectral images are picked up.
