<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which can perform taking out of a waste toner collection tank and opening of an exterior cover that covers the waste toner collection tank, in a single operation. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus has an image forming apparatus body to which the waste toner collection tank can be attached and detached; the exterior cover which covers an detaching and removing port of the waste toner collection tank and which is provided in the image forming apparatus body so as to be openable; and a lock releasing mechanism for allowing the waste toner collection tank to be taken out and opening the exterior cover, thereby enabling performance of taking out of the waste toner collection tank and opening of the exterior cover that covers the waste toner collection tank, using a single operation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
