PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To equalize lubricity over the whole length of a camshaft and to achieve cost reduction, in a lubrication structure for an internal combustion engine and the camshaft. SOLUTION: Downstream oil passages (cam oil holes 55d) allowing the inside and outside of the shaft to communicate with each other on a side opposite to an oil pouring side in the axial direction of the camshaft 11 are formed along the radial direction of the camshaft 11, and also upstream oil passages (cam oil holes 55a-55c) for allowing the inside and outside of the shaft to communicate with each other on the oil pouring side in the axial direction of the camshaft 11 are formed to be inclined with respect to the radial direction of the camshaft 11.
