PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure contact pressure between a tab and an elastic contact piece even if a terminal fitting is made compact. SOLUTION: A substantially square cylindrical body part 11 includes a cantilever elastic contact piece disposed to face an insertion space 15 of the tab 51, and a cantilever elastic reinforcing piece 35 disposed on the side opposite to the insertion space 15 across the elastic contact piece 32. When the tab 51 is inserted, the elastic contact piece 32 elastically bends, and the extended end 35E of the elastic reinforcing piece 35 abuts on the displacement region of the bent elastic contact piece 32. When the contact part 33 is in contact with the tab 51, the extended end 32E of the elastic contact piece 32 abuts on a position not corresponding to the elastic reinforcing piece 35 of a wall-like part (a central wall 21) constituting the body part 11.
