<p>Disclosed is a field sequential color display device capable of reducing "color breakup caused by saccades". Specifically disclosed is a color display device that performs color display by displaying red, green, and blue data using monochrome display elements in synchronization with sequential blinking of light sources of the three colors. In order to display all the colors, display frames serving as minimum periods of sequential blinking of the red, green, and blue light sources include red fields for displaying red data, green fields for displaying green data, and blue fields for displaying blue data. In the green fields, at least one of the red and blue light sources is blinked in addition to the green light source.</p> |
