<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a security system that manages a location of a terminal with high accuracy, even in a large read area. <P>SOLUTION: A security system includes: a tag 1 having terminal identification information; a reader 2 for reading, from the tag 1 located in a read area 2a, its terminal identification information; a reader 3 for reading, from the tag 1 located in a read area 3a, its terminal identification information; and a control unit 4 for managing the location of the tag 1 based on the terminal identification information read by the readers 2 and 3. When the reader 2 reads information, the control unit 4 updates location information of the tag 1 in accordance with installation position information of the reader 2. Furthermore, when the reader 3 reads information and location information of the tag 1 matches installation position information of the reader 3 under a predetermined condition, the control unit 4 updates the location information of the tag 1 in accordance with the installation position information of the reader 3.
