PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope apparatus capable of displaying a plurality of endoscopic images on a monitor. SOLUTION: A light source device has first and second turrets. The first turret has at least four, an even number of windows. The half of the windows are band-limited windows with filters of different frequency bands, and the remaining half windows are translucent windows to be penetrated by light as it is. The second turret has two windows to be penetrated by the light penetrating the turret pair as it is. A control means controls a driving means to rotate with a pair of either band-limited windows or translucent windows and two windows in the second turret superimposed on one another, and controls a video processor so that a first image captured when a subject is illuminated with the light penetrating the band-limited windows and a second image captured when the subject is illuminated with the light penetrating the translucent windows are displayed on the monitor side by side.
