<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmitting apparatus, display device, shutter eyeglasses, transmitting/receiving system, display system and transmitting/receiving method in which high-reliability communication can be achieved between a transmitting side and a receiving side. <P>SOLUTION: In a command set CS repeatedly transmitted from a shutter control part 15 inside a display device 10, a bit pattern formed as the entire command set CS is made to be identical to a bit pattern held at the side of shutter eyeglasses 60. When performing the communication of a shutter control signal CTL containing the command set CS from a transmitting side (display device 10) to a receiving side (shutter eyeglasses 60), it can be easily discriminated at the receiving side whether the command set CS contains external noise.
