PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To establish a more suitable route to a user's trace. SOLUTION: In the navigation apparatus, when a user traces a road on a map displayed on a screen, a travel route is established by matching the track of tracing (trace track) with road data. In a first embodiment, when the road data matched with the track traced by the user overlap by turning around of the trace track, the track that turned around is determined to be a user's input mistake and the road data overlapping by turning around are deleted. This arrangement enables the user to establish a route with no overlapping, without tracing the road from the beginning or correcting, and to avoid useless travel when traveling according to the navigation.
