<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat pump hot water generator capable of determining, even if a high-pressure side protective device is brought into operation, whether the abnormality has occurred in a heat pump cycle or in a hot water supply cycle, and showing the determined result. <P>SOLUTION: The heat pump hot water generator includes: the heat pump cycle 15 having a compressor 11 and a heat exchanger 12 for hot water supply; the hot water supply cycle 18 having a circulator 17 for circulating hot water into the heat exchanger 12 for hot water supply; and the high-pressure side protective device 19 which is configured to shut down the compressor 11 if a pressure of the high pressure side of the heat pump cycle 15 or a discharge temperature of the compressor 11 reaches the preset value while the compressor 11 is in operation. The generator is characterized by being configured to show, after the high-pressure side protective device 19 is brought into operation, the determination, on the basis of the tapping temperature variation value of the heat exchanger 12 for hot water supply, as to whether the abnormality has occurred in the heat pump cycle 18 side or in the hot water supply cycle 15 side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
