The method involves moving a strand-like profile (6) into a view aperture i.e. rear-side view aperture, in a region of an opening edge (1) with a soft top (2) i.e. folding top, where the profile is made of a flexible material. A joining part of the top and the profile is formed by a suitable connection. The joining part of the top and the profile is secured at predetermined areas in the region of a peripheral edge of a glass pane (5). The joining part is stuck together and connected with the glass pane by casting with hardening casting compound i.e. polyurethane.
