A child's folding high chair comprises a back and rear leg structure, a front leg structure pivoted to the back &c. structure and a seat structure carried by the back &c. structure and the front leg structure, the seat and front leg structures being adapted to fold downwardly and flatly against the back &c. structure. As shown, the back and rear leg structure is of inverted U-form with the part 16 arranged to carry the back-rest 18 and the parts 12 forming the rear legs. The front leg structure comprises the legs 10 connected by a cross-brace and is pivoted to the back etc; structure at 14. The seat structure is of U-form, the ends of its limbs being pivoted at 22 to the back &c. structure. The forward part of the seat is linked to the front legs 10 at 40 and to the tray 33 by links 36. It is also connected by a toggle brace 30 to the rear leg brace 31. The back-rest 18, seat plate 26 and tray plate each comprise a panel, of relatively stiff resilient material such as fibre glass, having channel edges adapted to clip over the tubular framework. The tray structure of U-form is pivoted at 14 to the back &c. structure and a foot-rest 38 is carried by pivoted arms from the front legs 10 and is adjustable in height by a brace 52. The tray is also adjustable to and from the child and for this purpose each side of the tray is provided with a spring wire 44 having depressions 48 thereon into a selected pair of which the tray frame 34 may engage by manipulating the tray by means of a handle 46. A safety strap 60 is provided. |
