PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a more exact segmentation concept compatible with an existing first segmentation of an audio work. SOLUTION: There is provided a device for changing segmentation of an audio work including a plurality of repeatedly emerging main portions to a plurality of time segments. The device includes a means of providing the expression of the audio work and a segment correction means of correcting the segmentation. The plurality of segments are assigned to various segment classes associated with the main portions. The means of providing provides an innovation value in a segment boundary of a short segment. The segment correction means merges a short segment with a shorter length than a predetermined minimum length into a time preceding segment or a subsequent segment and further merges the shorter segment into a segment adjacent to the segment boundary.
