<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that, when disconnection failure occurs at any of the LEDs in a circuit with a plurality of LEDs connected in series, all LEDs serially connected with that failed LED go out, in a conventional LED lighting device, so that even disconnection failure of just one LED results in drastic decrease of a light volume of a whole lighting device. <P>SOLUTION: In the LED lighting device, a plurality of LEDs connected in parallel to each other are to be one unit, and a plurality of units are connected in series to a temperature sensor for detecting temperature of the unit provided for each unit. A short-circuiting means for separately short-circuiting each unit is provided, and when temperature of the unit gets higher than a given lighting-off temperature preset, the unit getting high in temperature is short-circuited to be lit off. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
