<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network security system and a method which eliminate the need for mounting of an original hardware and an original protocol stack, save the effort of setting with respect to an application layer, and exhibit high stealthiness and security. <P>SOLUTION: A virtual network device 6 which is configured with software comprising a virtual network driver 6A and a virtual network interface 6B is arranged in a kernel space. The virtual network device 6 is interposed between an IP layer (network layer) 3 of a communication terminal and network interfaces (physical network devices) 4.
