PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power control device, along with a method of controlling power, for preventing an increase of loss in an inductor even if an output voltage changes sharply, and also not requiring time for following. SOLUTION: The power control device 1A for controlling power supplied to equipment includes a power supply input unit 10 to which a prescribed voltage is supplied, a signal input unit 40 for receiving an output voltage command signal Vcnt adjusted according to the power supplied to the equipment for a transmission period of the equipment, a digital control processing unit 50A for generating a plurality of voltage control signals VP1 to VP4 based on the output voltage command signal Vcnt selected according to a state of the equipment, a plurality of power analog units 20a to 20d that adjust the prescribed voltage based on the plurality of voltage control signals VP1 to VP4 to individually output an output voltage and are disposed in parallel, and an output filter 60 for compositing a plurality of output voltages output from a plurality of power analog units 20a to 20d to generate the power.
