The assembly (1) has a frame (2) arranged at a lifting gear which drives an assembly belt to install a vehicle door. The frame comprises a pipe (8) for receiving lower carrier bags (4-6) and a lateral supporting case (9) for receiving a lateral edge of the vehicle door. A clamping apparatus (11) is arranged opposite to the case, and comprises another lateral supporting case (12) which maintains another lateral edge of the door in a pre-tensioned manner. The clamping apparatus is fixed to a stepwise locked extension bar (14) that is stepwise withdrawable from another pipe (15) of the frame.
