<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the elongation of a standby time when receiving the output demand of a B/W (monochrome) image and the output demand of a color image during a recovery control to recover the fixing temperature from a sleep state that a fixing temperature is lower than that in a ready (standby) state to the ready state. <P>SOLUTION: The fixing device includes: a heating part to heat a thermo-fusible visualizing material fixed to a sheet medium, and the sheet medium; a heat generation part to raise the temperature of the heating part by its own heat in accordance with power supply; a temperature detection part to detect the temperature of the heating part; and a control part to, in a period in which the temperature of the heating part continuously increases, output temperature information in the period in which the temperature of the heating part continuously increases so as to report an effect that an image using only a monochrome thermo-fusible visualizing material can be fixed based on the temperature of the heating part detected by the temperature detection part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
