<p>The invention relates to a novel design for a vessel with submerged hulls, which can transport heavy loads at high speed over waves and which is formed by two submerged parallel bodies (4) having a substantially cylindrical cross-section or the best possible hydrodynamic form, interconnected by means of hydrodynamic sections (5). Four legs (3) having a suitable hydrodynamic cross-section are provided at the intersection of the cylinders (4) and the sections (5), said legs supporting a loading platform or area (2) which can move (up or down) along the legs (3) until raised above the height of the waves, for which purpose the legs include a vertical movement system. The submerged assembly of movement bodies (4) and the hydrodynamic connection sections (5) can be completely covered with a fabric material, comprising permeable sheets having a porosity less than the size of a water molecule and greater than that of an air molecule, and pressurised air can be injected therein. The molecules of the injected air exit through the pores, thereby breaking the boundary layer and separating the water molecules of the submerged area, such that the viscous friction is reduced by a large percentage. The bottom can be raised to sea level for the unloading and loading of material or for entering shallow ports.</p> |
