PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing calcined gypsum by which a setting time does not delay even if raw material gypsum is calcined and is subjected to water addition treatment, and also to provide a gypsum product utilizing the calcined gypsum obtained by the method. SOLUTION: It is possible to produce the calcined gypsum in which the amount of the water to be mixed is reduced and the setting time does not delay by calcining raw material gypsum and performing water-addition treatment to recalcine the calcined gypsum. Further, even if recycled gypsum causing increase of the amount of the water to be mixed is largely used as a gypsum raw material, in the calcined gypsum produced by the method, the amount of the water to be mixed is reduced and the setting time does not delay.
