<p>Disclosed is a computer system wherein a working computer asynchronously replicating data with a backup computer, upon receipt of advance notification, suspends business applications and sends transmission initiation information indicating the start of data synchronisation, data stored in a transmission queue (118), and transmission closing information indicating the end of data synchronisation, in that order, to the backup computer. The backup computer, upon receipt of the transmission initiation information, creates and retains a first trust-guarantee information showing that data received before the transmission initiation information is trustworthy; and upon receipt of the transmission closing information, creates and retains a second trust-guarantee information showing that data received before the transmission closing information is trustworthy. It is thus possible to fully realise the advantages of asynchronous replication for data replication, and also to prove that the data backed up on the backup computer is reliable when failure occurs.</p> |
