<p>A facilily for effecting an electronic financial transaction includes a beneficiary creation instruction receiving module for receiving an instruction from a transactor to create a beneficiary in respect of a defined account of the transactor; a time delay unit for providing a predetermined time delay; and a beneficiary creation module for creating the beneficiary in respect of the defined account after the time delay. Thus, an instruction is received from a transactor to create a beneficiary in respect of a defined account of the transactor and the beneficiary is created only after a predetermined time delay has elapsed. In addition the transactor is contacted to confirm that he wants to create the particular beneficiary before the beneficiary is created and the facility further induce a transactor contacting module for contacting the transactor to confirm that the beneficiary is to be created. The transactor is contacted via a different channel to that used to effect the transaction. The transactor is contacted telephonically, either by an operator or in an automated fashion, in order to confirm the instruction. A telephone call generator is provided for generating a telephonic call to the transactor and an interactive voice recognition unit for confirming the instruction.</p> |
