<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an input device for performing a fine adjustment operation and a rough adjustment operation greatly different in moving speed of a pointer without providing an electric circuit and software for switching the operation with the small number of output signals. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In an input device, a second dielectric 6 is disposed on upper sides of detection electrodes 4a, 4b, 4c, and 4d, second electrodes 3a, 3b, 3c, and 3d which are not electrically connected externally are disposed on the upper surface of the second dielectric 6, a first dielectric 5 is disposed on the upper side of the second electrode, and a grounded first electrode 2 is disposed on the upper surface of the first dielectric 5. The first dielectric and the second dielectric are movable with respect to detection electrodes, and an electrostatic capacity between the detection electrodes and the second electrode differs from that between the first electrode and the second electrode at an initial position.
