<p>The disclosed catheter (10) is provided with: an outer tube (26); and an inner tube that is disposed within the outer tube (26) and through which a guidewire (20) is threaded via a tip-end aperture (24b) and a base-end aperture (24c). The aforementioned outer tube (26) has, in the axial direction thereof, at least: a first region (R1) at the tip end; a second region (R2) that is at the base end and that has a higher rigidity than said first region (R1); and a transition region (R0) that is provided between the first region (R1) and the second region (R2) and that varies in rigidity from a rigidity that is the same as the first region (R1) to a rigidity that is the same as the second region (R2). Furthermore, the aforementioned outer tube (26) is configured with an aperture (22), to which the base-end aperture (24c) of the inner tube (24) connects, being provided to the second region (R2).</p> |
