PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the reduction of a parts count which contributes to the reduction of weight. SOLUTION: A fork body, whose telescopic motion is enabled by a vehicle-body-side tube 1 and a wheel-side tube 2, has a damper which uses the inside of the fork body as a reservoir R. The damper has a cylinder body 3 used as a lower end side member and a rod body 4 used as an upper end side member. An air chamber A in the reservoir R is filled with an air pressure equal to or more than the atmospheric pressure in a most extended state of the fork body and a restraining means is provided that urges the fork body in the contracting direction by being brought into a most contracted state at the time of the most extended state of the fork body. The restraining means has a balance spring structured with a coil spring. The balance spring has a reaction force, which urges the fork body in the extending direction by being most contracted through the most extended state during the contraction at the time of the most contracted state of the fork body.
