The invention concerns a torque measuring device (10) for stopping the strike of a striking mechanism. It is characterized in that it includes a torque measuring lever (1), whose trajectory interferes with that of a strike wheel (11) and which is arranged to be pivoted by said strike wheel, said torque measuring lever (1) being subject to a resistant force of determined value against a drive force exerted by said strike wheel (11) during the rotation thereof, and blocking the rotation of said strike wheel if said drive force is less than said resistant force, and if not allowing said strike wheel to rotate. The invention concerns a striking mechanism including a torque measuring device (10) of this type. The invention concerns a timepiece incorporating a striking mechanism of this type.
